SCADASCOPE takes most of the capabilities of hard-wired PLC-based pressure monitoring and control systems and makes them simple to operate, inexpensive enough for even the smallest businesses to adopt and quick to deploy without needing costly new infrastructure. SCADASCOPE works on a combination of Cellular, Radio, Internet and Microcontroller technology.
Our flagship 3G Cellular Internet Gateway can be deployed anywhere there is mobile phone network coverage. It can operate as a “stand alone” differential pressure sensor and device controller – or as the central hub of a network of Sensor Controllers in clusters of up to 50 units.
That’s control of 100 sample points and 50 external devices like pumps, solenoid valves or mains-rated relays - from one device that costs less than $550.00!
The 3G Cellular Internet Gateway can operate off mains power or a solar panel and rechargeable battery for remote installations. The Sensor Controllers can also be mains powered or run off AA batteries for up to a year depending on duty cycle (how often they sample).
Alternately, you can configure SCADASCOPE to operate off your WiFi router – meaning you save on 3G network costs – this is a great option if you have a reliable WiFi signal and mains power within 100 metres of your filters or other pressure sampling points.
SCADASCOPE is designed to save you money on infrastructure. The online Control Panel can be accessed by any internet capable computer with a browser – all configuration, data capture and visualisation is managed from here in a simple-to-use format anyone with basic internet skills can master. You set conditions for email or SMS alerts, control external devices and decide the format that your data will be displayed using simple modules. Administrators can grant or restrict access to different features and change them as required using the secure Control Panel system.
There’s no cabling or rewiring required in most cases, no new software to buy and little or no training required for operators. SCADASCOPE gets your assets online fast, reliably and as the system will be pre-configured to your requirements, you can install it yourself.
SCADASCOPE brings IoT (the Internet of Things) to industry.

This filter bypass solution monitors differential pressure across a water filter and alerts an operator by email or SMS if the filter media is choking. If so, it automatically alters the flow state of a pair of magnetic pulse solenoid valves, diverting the flow through a bypass filter until the operator can attend the problem.

SCADASCOPE is operating in an ultra-low power mode. A pressure switch, installed in the pipe work and connected to the Master Controller is calibrated to detect dynamic pressure.
When water is flowing it triggers the pressure reading process.

The Master Controller takes a reading from its pressure sensor and transmits it to the Internet Gateway. This reading depicts the “high-side” or inflow pressure of the primary filter.
The water course is controlled by two magnetic pulse solenoids, while solenoid 1 is open water flows through the primary filter.

The SCADASCOPE Solenoid and Pressure Controller is connected to the "low-side" (outflow) pressure sensor of the primary filter. It takes a reading and transmits the data to the Internet Gateway - then returns to a low-power deep-sleep state.

The Internet Gateway broadcasts both sets of data to a secure Internet platform hosting the SCADASCOPE Control Panel, which can be accessed by a standard internet browser.

The system operator has configured the control panel to display the inflow and outflow pressure across the filter and added an alert to respond if the pressure differential is greater than 15Psi.

The Internet Gateway relays a message from the control panel to the Sensor Controller, which closes Solenoid Valve 1 and opens Solenoid Valve 2. This diverts flow away from the choked primary filter to the bypass filter.

The operator receives an email alert advising that the pressure differential readings across the primary filter suggest it is choking – and that it has been bypassed.

The operator attends site and changes the fouled filter. The email includes a link to an internet button on the control panel that will revert the flow states of the solenoid valves, restoring flow through the primary filter.
